چکیده

Halophilic and halo-tolerant bacteria are micro-organisms that living in hyper saline environments. They have many potential several fields life such as Industry agriculture. In this study a total of 17 isolates were obtained from the four ponds Qarun Lake on Nutrient Agar (NA) medium prepared using ponds' water. The 16S rRNA analysis showed our affiliated with groups, Firmicutes (47.06% isolates) include family Bacillaceae six different genera including Bacillus, Halobacillus, Lentibacillus, Oceanobacillus, Thalassobacillus Virgibacillus, Gammaproteobacteria (35.29% two Halomonas Salinivibrio, within Bacteriodetes group (11.76% one Alphaproteobacteria (5.88%). seems to be more dominant group, microorganisms various genera, especially Bacillus (37.5%) followed by Lentibacillus Virgibacillus (12.5% for each genera). 52.94% gram negative, 35.29% positive 11.76% variable. All catalase producers motile. Halotolerance assay observed only (11.76 %) able grow absence salt considered halotolerant, while fifteen (88.24%) NA media concentrations halophilic bacteria. Among them, thirteen (76.47%) 7% NaCL. grew 12.5% NaCl; nine iso-lates (52.94%) 20% salinity, three (17.65%) appeared concentration 22% extremely tested plant growth promoting factors. results all can produce IAA, 47.06% fix Nitrogen 47.06 % ability phosphate solubilization. Concerning hydrolytic enzymes activi-ties isolates, it was found 58.82% 76.47% pro-duced lipase olive oil tween80 substrate respectively. It also esterase production same percentage casease production. Gelatinase excereted 58.82%, chitinase produced 70.59% isolates. Breeding Salinity Tolerant Grape rootstocks

Understanding the mechanism of salinity tolerance in any crop plant is a prerequisite to crop development with regards to this trait. However, analogous to agronomic breeding for yield, salt tolerance breeding in grapevines is hampered by the complex nature of the plant response to a soil solution containing a high concentration of salt (reviewed in M. Ashraf and P.J.C. Harris, eds., 2005, Abio...

Biotechnological Applications Derived from Microorganisms of the Atacama Desert

The Atacama Desert in Chile is well known for being the driest and oldest desert on Earth. For these same reasons, it is also considered a good analog model of the planet Mars. Only a few decades ago, it was thought that this was a sterile place, but in the past years fascinating adaptations have been reported in the members of the three domains of life: low water availability, high UV radiatio...

Bioprospection of marine microorganisms: biotechnological applications and methods.

Environmental microorganisms constitute an almost inexhaustible reserve of genetic and functional diversity, accumulated during millions of years of adaptive evolution to various selective pressures. In particular, the extent of microbial biodiversity in marine habitats seems to grow larger as new techniques emerge to measure it. This has resulted in novel and more complex approaches for the sc...

Sponge-associated microorganisms: evolution, ecology, and biotechnological potential.

Marine sponges often contain diverse and abundant microbial communities, including bacteria, archaea, microalgae, and fungi. In some cases, these microbial associates comprise as much as 40% of the sponge volume and can contribute significantly to host metabolism (e.g., via photosynthesis or nitrogen fixation). We review in detail the diversity of microbes associated with sponges, including ext...

Melanin synthesis in microorganisms--biotechnological and medical aspects.

Melanins form a diverse group of pigments synthesized in living organisms in the course of hydroxylation and polymerization of organic compounds. Melanin production is observed in all large taxa from both Pro- and Eukaryota. The basic functions of melanins are still a matter of controversy and speculation, even though their adaptative importance has been proved. Melanogenesis has probably evolv...
